Shri: A Fashion Documentary 2009 – Maharashtra

In 'Shri' we create an identity of a woman who lives many lives. Celebrating the autonomy of the female spirit, this series looks at her through the lens of a ‘fashion’ photoshoot.
Inspired by the gothic/magical realism, referencing our ancestral heritage, a few mythologies from Hindu and Greek texts. This work weaves through time, visually capturing the Indian female in her various avatars as seen through our hearts and eyes within Pune and the surrounding hills.
