Perfect Prototype is a 30 minute long performance conceptualised and produced by KINEMATIK Dance Theatre Company.
Manniquens and Dancers alike express the absurdities of popular culture in fashion. An image which imposes unrealistic expectations on the female and her body.
The three channel video on the stage shows the fragmentation of the female body across the three screens.
The video compliments the dancers. The theme of constant robing and disrobing of this identity, challenges commercial concepts with attempt to homogenise of the female form. Women struggling with the identity of fitting into and removing her body out of the template of the mannequin and its fake perfection.
